We aim to limit the separation between the people delivering the service and the people receiving the service as much as possible.
DATUS strives to be an engine for positive change built and staffed by the individuals most affected.
Mutual Aid
Community-led, self-help groups where members provide support to one another based on a structured program and shared experiences.

About DATUS
We believe that if you intend on benefiting a group of people, then those individuals should be as actively involved as possible in the design and delivery of the support offered to them. We believe in the principal of “no decision about me, without me”.
As a group of individuals we seek positive change, a sense of hope and optimism. We need more than fancy brochures and web sites, only to then engage with a support service and feel like a number being processed through a machine driven by contractual targets.
This principal and the lived experience of people accessing services that were not person-centred led to the creation of DATUS in 2007.
